Good Morning,
I didn’t notice what the temp was when I came to the office this morning, but the computer says that its about 21 in Richmond. And once again, we are going to not get out of the 30’s today, so keep that coat handy.
Holy, Holy, Holy! We have sung the song in church, yesterday I felt that way in a physical since. As you know I had my CT scan late yesterday afternoon and for some reason they couldn’t seem to get the IV in for the contrast. It took three people to finally get a hole in me that would work. I am kind of watching this morning to see if any of the coffee I am drinking is running out my arms! Anyway, we finally got out of UK about 6 and when and had a little bite with Melissa at Fayette Mall. We walked down to Sears for a few minutes and that was a mistake. Very shortly I was totally done in. Melissa and I waited at the front door of Sears while Pat went and got the van to pick me up. Hopefully they will find out what is going on with this latest scan and we can begin to do what is necessary to fix the problem. I will see my Oncologist tomorrow morning and see what he says.
This morning I am still a little tired, but I can sit here at the office and get a little work done or sit at home and basically get nothing done. Oh, while Pat and I were waiting for me to be called back to get the scan yesterday, we began to realize that all the rest of the people in the waiting room were cancer patients in one stage of the disease or another. I am not sure how it started but we began to share stories and thoughts and before we knew what was happening we were all cracking each other up. I would share a little of what was said, but really, you had to be there. Anyway, it really was great. As the Bible says in Proverbs 17:22: A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Keep in mind that laughter is God’s medicine for our body and our soul. So keep laughing!
Have a Great Day in the Lord,
Rod
