Good Morning,
We have a fairly warm morning here in KY, the temp is about 45 but we are only going to see a high today of about 58 or so. However, tomorrow we will hit the low 70’s before we see a drop in temps for Thanksgiving. So enjoy the next couple of days as these may be some of the last warm days we see for awhile.
Thanksgiving is just about upon us, in fact we had our Thanksgiving dinner here at the church yesterday and it was really great. Yes, right after our morning worship service, which was a great service in and of itself, we enjoyed the dishes of some of the best cooks in the country. If you were not here, you really missed it! Thanks ladies for your labor of love because we really loved you food.
As always we have several prayer requests to share with you from yesterday: Please keep the Zackery Moberly family in your prayers. Zackery is a 10 year old little boy that was killed last week in Berea. Pat Stevens father, Ken, is fighting inoperable lung cancer. He is doing fairly well at the moment but there are difficult days to come. Iona Roberts, Marla Steele’s mother, had surgery on her back last Monday, then she fell in the hospital on Friday and broke her hip. I know she would appreciate your prayers. Frances Lanter is still at home with a cracked hip, I know she appreciates your prayers. Lois Marionneaux is at home with shingles. She has been in bed for the last week and is in a lot of pain. Please keep her in your prayers.
Keep in mind that we will have our Wednesday evening Bible study this week. We are looking at Job and will be on Day two of that study this week. You can find the lesson our website.
Pat and I made it down to Wise, VA and back this weekend. We left about 2:30 on Friday and got home about 6:00 Saturday evening. We now know where Christy & Bill & Jacob’s new house is and how to get there. It takes about 3 to 3 ˝ hours, according to traffic. It seems like a nice area and we hope that they settle in quickly.
Saturday evening the Lizzy Berry Circle had its annual auction and it seemed to go very well. I think they raise around $2,000 to use in the coming year for various projects. Good job ladies!
Well, this is going to be a short week in the office with Thanksgiving coming up, so I better end this and get some work done. Talk with you tomorrow.
Have a Great Day in the Lord,
Rod
